When it comes to getting married, men are the more modern gender: According to a recent survey, 71 percent would also leave the proposal to their partner.
Mrs. Darling says: Actually, women and men have very similar dreams in white: According to a recent survey by the partner portal Elitepartner, two-thirds of us believe that we should live together for a few years before getting married. And as many as 40 percent think that having children is an important reason to get married. But when it comes to the crucial point, our ideas diverge surprisingly widely: While 71 percent of men would also leave the marriage proposal to their partner, 48 percent of women think that this is a man’s matter alone. And why not, dear women: we make careers, we turn on guys in the pub and unabashedly take them home if we like them. That’s why I think it’s even a sign of strength if we keep a little bit of romance together. And no one is stopping us from signalling to the boys beforehand what our answer is: Yes!
Mr. Schatz says: 3600 respondents can’t be wrong: We men have long been much more modern and emancipated when it comes to marriage than you women always think and claim. Because we don’t even have a problem with giving you the proverbial kneeling anymore. In any case, it was high time to bring the most important ritual of love into the present time. And who says that the romantic has to go down the drain? Let’s just give it a try, this new role-playing game – and stay relaxed. What this survey by Elitepartner also reveals: For only 36 percent of us, whether women or men, getting married is proof that we are loved by our partner. However, it certainly seems to be worth it: the proportion of respondents who are convinced of the positive effects of marriage is twice as high among married people as among unmarried people. So, women: Success depends on courage!
