According to an Allensbach study, almost one in four Germans under the age of 30 has a tattoo and 15 percent of them have a piercing. Does something like this actually influence life and love?
Mrs. Liebling says: To be honest, it’s not my cup of tea, but maybe I’m just too old for that. For all the colorful tattoos that I see on your thighs more and more often lately, dear women. Or for the so-called “flesh tunnels”, i.e. these rings with the holes in the earlobes. Not to mention the jewelry in the intimate area or on nipples. I saw all of this on summer vacation this year. Sure, there are inspiring stories: of piercings down there that don’t sting, but apparently tingle like love toys. And of metal buttons, also on tongues, which are supposed to work like true miracles. Nevertheless, my recommendation for maintaining a couple relationship is: Talk to each other before you get tattoos or piercings! It’s not about getting permission, it’s about something like that changing a body in the long run. For both.
Mr. Schatz says: Sorry, Mrs. Darling, but I have a completely different opinion! My body is my body and I want to be able to do what I want with it. Because it is an expression of my personality and my uniqueness. It doesn’t matter if I go to the gym or get a tattoo or piercing. Do I even know how long the partnership will last if I do without a body image or metal jewelry? And what about the surprise factor, which is immensely important to stay happy as a couple? Maybe it’s just a typical male fantasy, but I can well imagine that sex with jewelry makes you spicy in a completely different way – and enables new varieties. Apart from the fact that we didn’t discuss beforehand whether you should get your ears pierced or not. That’s why my tip, men, is: If a tattoo or a piercing is really more than just a holiday mood, if you really want and need it. Just do it!
